King of America & Other Realms expands the 1986 album with demos, outtakes, collaborations and a previously unreleased Royal Albert Hall concert.
Elvis Costello revisited one of his most distinctive 1980s albums with King of America & Other Realms, released on 1 November 2024.
The six-disc edition is built around a new remaster of the original album and adds early demos, studio outtakes, collaborations and a previously unreleased 1987 Royal Albert Hall performance.
Rather than simply repeating the familiar record, the set traces how Costello’s interest in American country, soul and roots music continued to influence his writing across later decades.
